๐Ÿ™Œ Our Official Opening...

๐ŸŽ‰ We Celebrated Our Official Opening...

Last Friday we celebrated an official open day by inviting learners from 3 local schools for a factory tour.

They watched their own school flags being printed and calendered and their school plaques being printed and cut on the Zund. We also had them looking at ink drops through a magnifying glass.

We then decided it should be one of our apprentice graduates to formalise the opening.

๐ŸŽ‰ Lewis – One of our apprentice graduates makes it official. ๐ŸŽ‰

๐ŸŽฏ The purpose was 2-fold:

1. Engage learners in alternative apprenticeships – further education does not have to be college or university. Earn while we learn opportunities are out there.

2. Encourage other businesses to have open days and engage with local schools and colleges to show the wealth of industry we have that young people don’t know about, they should not be left on the scrap heap.

๐ŸŒฑ Grow Your Own Talent...

In 2019 we made the decision to start a long term strategy of “grow our own”.

It’s working… almost 80% of our production staff are under 25, some have disengaged at school and did not want to enter further education.

It’s not perfect and hats off to our production leaders, who invest their time into the future of our business.

๐Ÿ‘‹ Final Thought for The Print Industry...

Investing in young people means empowering the next generation with skills, opportunities, and confidence to thriveโ€”helping them shape not only their own futures, but the future of industry and community as well.
