Moving Factory is not for the faint-hearted...
7 months of refurbishing, building stuff, and moving
plant.
Okay, so we only moved across the road, it should be easy,
right? Well, the factory we purchased in July 2024 was in a pretty poor
state of repair but it was across the road from our old place and it was an
opportunity not to be missed.
Challenges...
Firstly, I ended up project managing the contractors I could find to do the big stuff and working in between them painting, plumbing and some joinery, basic DIY skills I’d picked up over the years to allow the steel, suspended ceiling and electrical contractors to do their stuff. So I painted the full place, including the building, robbing the access scissor lift when the contractors went home at night. I had a budget and was determined not to go over it.
Pulling together...
Fortunately, we had lots of internal skilled support. All our server moves and technical stuff was managed by Robert, our Ops Director, and Adrian, our Sales Director, kept things running at the old factory, supported by our senior management team and the rest of our team.
It was a real team effort to keep thing running at the old place and get things gradually moved over in the daytime, at night or weekends.

I am glad to say that we are now proud to be able to share with you the inside of our new facilities, There are still some areas to finish polishing and dressing the place to make it look inviting and a pleasant place for us to work.
