Stickers&#8230; Single Part and Two Part&#8230; What&#8217;s the Difference?<\/h1>\n<p>I&#8217;ve been quite passionate about people understanding the difference between types of <a href=\"https:\/\/graphicwarehouse.co.uk\/products\/social-distancing\/floor-wall-stickers.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">floors stickers or floor graphics<\/a>.&nbsp; These have obviously been very popular in 2020 with the high demand for <a href=\"https:\/\/graphicwarehouse.co.uk\/products\/social-distancing\/floor-wall-stickers.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">social distancing floor stickers<\/a> but this does not seem to be letting up, we&#8217;re still very busy printing floor stickers.<\/p>\n<p><strong>My biggest concern, because we <\/strong>we sell to print buyer who are reselling, is that this means their customers must get he <strong>best quality<\/strong> and it has to last a reasonable amount of time.<\/p>\n<p>When we sell these products we must consider the <strong>consequences<\/strong> to the relationship we have with our customer, an inferior product can damage that.<\/p>\n<p>My little video below explains why I prefer a floor sticker with a laminate, rather than the popular single part offerings and why the lower cost option may not be correct for your customer.ause<\/p>\n<div style=\"width: 640px;\" class=\"wp-video\"><!--[if lt IE 9]><script>document.createElement('video');<\/script><![endif]-->\n<video class=\"wp-video-shortcode\" id=\"video-441-1\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" preload=\"metadata\" controls=\"controls\"><source type=\"video\/mp4\" src=\"https:\/\/graphicwarehouse.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/Floor-Stickers-single-piece-and-2-part.mp4?_=1\" \/><a href=\"https:\/\/graphicwarehouse.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/Floor-Stickers-single-piece-and-2-part.mp4\">https:\/\/graphicwarehouse.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/Floor-Stickers-single-piece-and-2-part.mp4<\/a><\/video><\/div>\n<h2>Is A Single Piece Floor Stickers Inferior?<\/h2>\n<p>No, they are not <strong>inferior<\/strong>.&nbsp; They are perfect for<strong> short term use<\/strong>.&nbsp; We have used these for many years but mainly for exhibitions, they are a <strong>short-term solution<\/strong>.&nbsp; Single part floor stickers are manufactured using a textured face self adhesive vinyl.&nbsp; We print to the face but the ink comes into direct contact with the footfall, so it will fade.&nbsp; Use our <a href=\"https:\/\/graphicwarehouse.co.uk\/dashboard\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Quick Quote<\/a> system in your dashboard to see the difference in price.<\/p>\n<h2>So, 2-Part Floor Stickers Are Better?<\/h2>\n<p>In short, they <strong>last longer<\/strong> because the ink is <strong>protected<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>2-part floor stickers are made using a self adhesive vinyl (our works on carpet too) which we print and then <strong>overlaminate<\/strong> with an <strong>Anti-slip laminate<\/strong>.&nbsp; We can then cut to any shape.<\/p>\n<p>Our <a href=\"https:\/\/graphicwarehouse.co.uk\/products\/social-distancing.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">floor stickers<\/a>&nbsp;have been tested in schools and they have been down for up to a year and are still as vibrant as the day they were installed.&nbsp; fullscreen; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h2>What in the world is an R-Rating?<\/h2>\n<p>So an R-rating is basically a measure of how slippy a surface is at particular angles (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.hse.gov.uk\/pUbns\/geis2.pdf\">It comes under DIN 51130 which is an internationally recognised measurement for floor anti-slip properties originating out of Germany<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p>It goes from <a href=\"https:\/\/graphicwarehouse.co.uk\/products\/vinyl-stickers\/floor-graphics.html\">R9<\/a> all the way up to <a href=\"https:\/\/graphicwarehouse.co.uk\/products\/vinyl-stickers\/floor-graphics.html\">R13<\/a>.&nbsp; Laminate<\/h2>\n<p>So this is actually one of my pet peeves!&nbsp; We only stock two part (Print &amp; Laminate) floor graphics.&nbsp; They last longer, they look better and are more abrasion resistent!<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\n\t\t\t\tSingle part floor graphics are great for short term usage but for anything over a few week&#8217;s you&#8217;ll see them start to fade and get scuffed.
